Christmas In August

Last year my family and I decided due to allergies we wanted to purchase an artificial Christmas tree. We came upon this decision because my husband has horrible allergies and it was time to stop putting up real trees. It was kind of a bummer to me because I love real Christmas trees, but I don’t like him having to suffer in anyway shape or form, for that matter. Thus, began the hunt for an artificial Christmas trees without lights. Who knew that was going to be so difficult. We decided to go this route because that way if the lights on the tree went out we wouldn’t have to pitch the entire tree. It was a great idea or so I thought until we started to look for one.

Apparently, it used to be hard to find the pre-lit Christmas trees, but this year they are all pre-lit. Why is it that the grass is always greener on the other side of the field. I don’t know, but it is and this is probably going to be the most difficult task yet. I checked out the Target and found one, but it was half an artificial tree. We want a full artificial Christmas trees without lights. We have little children and I thought it would be so much fun to decorate it from the get go too, lights and all.

Perhaps, I just started my mission to early and I am sure whoever is reading my blog is probably going to give me the what for since it is so early. I am just surprised that it isn’t something you can just order quickly online at any time of year you would think that artificial Christmas trees without lights would be all over the place. At least in storage units somewhere. I have even considered seeing if I can put out an add on Craigslist because maybe someone is wanting to make some money and save some space. I would believe there are people just chomping to get rid of their tree if they are moving to a smaller place. It looks like I just found one on Amazon.com, I don’t know why I didn’t consider that earlier and it is a great price too. I wonder if they are cheaper in the off-season? I will take a deal anytime.

You all probably think I am a bit off my rocker, but this is really exciting as Christmas is my favorite season and now I will finally have that perfect artificial Christmas trees without lights. My husband is going to be glad to because it will be the first Christmas in a long time that he will not be sick around Christmas. It is a blessing that I do not have allergies myself. Plus, I can change up the decorations and lights depending on how I have the room done for each year. It is going to be a great Christmas this year. Something to be excited about this year for sure.
